1/3/09: Top New York City Teams Will Be Participating in a Top Tier Championships
Petrides HS, 2008 PSAL Team Champions, along with the 2008 Mayors' Cup Team Champions Monsignor Farrell outstanding team will join St. Joe's by-the -Sea and Fordham Prep at the prestigious event. Chris Lenzi, Fordham Prep (CHSAA) used the championship at the Eastern States as a stepping stone winning the 2008 D1 New York State Championships. Read more. |

12/15/08: Beat the Streets Intensive Holiday Camp At the Manhattan Training Center – 145 Thompson St
Dates:
Mon 12/29, Tues 12/30, Wed 12/31, Fri 1/2The intensive camp is a vehicle in which NYC High School students can train over the Holiday week, learning new technical skills as well as basic cardiovascular conditioning, drilling, and some live wrestling. Read more. |

12/3/08: It Can Be Done! College Wrestling at the 2008 Northeast Journeyman Duals
In a few short years with lots of effort to make the event able to attract some of the top college programs in the United States to the Capital District. The 2008 Northeast Duals was held at Hudson Valley Community College and attracted over 2600 fans all without a local college participating. Read more. |

11/4/08: Hanafee Defeats 3 State Champs at Super 32
Congratulations to Connor Hanafee for his stellar performance at the Super 32 in Greensboro, NC. Connor competed at 125 lbs and compiled a record of 5 wins and 2 losses. Connor defeated a Georgia state champ, a Florida state champ, and the defending NY State champ Jamie Franco, who has recently signed with Hofstra University. Read more. |

Monday November 3rd will mark the grand opening of Beat the Streets' Manhattan Training Center. We will hold practices every Monday and Wednesday from 6-8:30 pm at St Anthony's Memorial Gym which is located at 141 Thompson Street (just off Houston), walking distance from the B, C, D, E, F, V, R, W, 1, 6, and Path trains. Beat the Streets Coaches' College will host a wrestling clinic at Monsignor Farrell High School in Staten Island on Saturday Oct. 25 th from 10-2pm. The clinic will focus on both basic and advanced techniques for developing championship wrestlers. The clinicians will be Rob Pavas and Mike Cigala. Read more. |

The Beat the Streets Wrestling Program announced that today and tomorrow, October 1 and 2, 2008, it will simultaneously open four new regional training centers throughout the boroughs of New York City to expand the opportunities for middle and high school boys and girls to hone their skills as they participate in school wrestling programs.
