Executive Director and President

Brian Giffin most recently served as the VP of Operations and General Manager for Dylan's Candy Bar, a multi-unit candy company with six locations and over 300 employees. His responsibilities included oversight of over 5000 products in stock, international production and importing, product development and branding, budget (total company sales of $12 million), full P&L accountability, and Human Resources director. Prior to joining Dylan's Candy Bar, Brian served as the Director of Operations for Eerie Entertainment, a multi-unit restaurant chain and amusement park with 4 restaurants and a "haunted" theme park.

Brian is the President and Founder of Downtown Giants Youth Football & Cheer, a non-profit organization developed to bring youth football and cheer to lower Manhattan. In the past three years, program participation has grown 140%. Brian leads and directs all organization efforts including equipment purchase, financial management, inventory ($100,000), fundraising, staffing, scheduling, and planning the Downtown Giants annual banquet.

Early in his career, Brian spent two years in minor league baseball as part of the opening team for Kane County Cougars, the first minor league baseball team in the suburbs of Chicago. Brian managed day to day operations field, concessions, game day set up and also was the off season group and ticket sales manager. He was awarded the "Gold Award" by MLB for best ball field and experience in Minor League Baseball.

Brian is received his bachelors of arts degree in History at DePaul University in Chicago. He was also a MA candidate in History in DePaul's graduate school. Brian is married (Courtney) with two children, Chloe (14) and Brennan (12).
